DarPedia acts as a data controller in respect of personal data it collects directly from users and in respect of the processing activities described in this Policy. Where DarPedia processes personal data on behalf of another controller (for example, in respect of certain third-party integrations), it may act as a data processor.
Regardless of DarPedia's role, DarPedia is committed to processing personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently, and to implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

DarPedia does not sell personal data to third parties. DarPedia does not share personal data with third parties in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration for their own unrelated commercial purposes. Where DarPedia shares data with third-party service providers for the purpose of operating the Platform, such sharing is governed by data processing agreements that restrict the use of personal data to the provision of the contracted service.
DarPedia retains personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including for the period during which your account is active, the period necessary to comply with DarPedia's legal and regulatory obligations (which may include retention of records for tax, financial reporting, anti-money-laundering, and other compliance purposes), the period necessary to resolve disputes or enforce DarPedia's rights, and any longer period required or permitted by applicable law.
When personal data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and there is no legal basis for continued retention, DarPedia will delete or anonymise such data. Where deletion is not immediately possible (for example, because the data is stored in backup archives), DarPedia will isolate the data from further processing until deletion is possible.
DarPedia implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, loss, or unlawful processing. These measures include encryption of data in transit using industry-standard protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS), encryption or hashing of sensitive stored data (such as passwords), access controls limiting access to personal data to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis, regular security assessments and monitoring, vendor due diligence, incident response procedures, and employee awareness measures.
While DarPedia takes reasonable steps to protect personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. DarPedia shall not be liable for the data practices, privacy policies, security measures, or conduct of any third-party website or service accessed through or in connection with the Platform.
DarPedia primarily processes personal data in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. However, given the global nature of cloud infrastructure and third-party service providers, personal data may be transferred to, processed in, or accessed from countries other than Jordan, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as Jordan.
Where personal data is transferred outside Jordan, DarPedia will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect personal data, in accordance with applicable data protection law, which may include relying on data transfer agreements, standard contractual clauses, or other mechanisms recognised under applicable law.
DarPedia may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, local storage, session storage, device fingerprinting, analytics tools, and similar tracking technologies to collect Technical Data, Usage Data, and Cookie and Tracking Data in connection with your use of the Platform.
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. When DarPedia makes material changes to this Policy, it will post the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised effective date and may notify users by email, in-platform notice, push notification, or other reasonable means.
Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree to the updated Policy, you must stop using the Platform. DarPedia encourages you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how your personal data is being handled.
